An obsession.
Fine - you forced me. I'll say it again.
I have the cutest little munchkin in the world. It's true. And I am so thankful for her.
This past week, she's taken a liking to reading...
...actually, "liking" may be a touch of an understatement. Obsession may be closer to an accurate description.
And since you asked (or was that in my mind...), here are her favorite books:
1. Little Ducking (the one that quacks)
2. EEK! There'a Mouse in the House!
3. I'm sorry, I was interrupted by my baby. I just read Little Ducking three times between typing numbers 2 and 4.
4. God Gave Us You
5. Hickory Dickory Dock
6. Night Night Prayer (my own personal favorite). "Shh, my mommy's sleeping, She's tucked us all in bed. But at the sun's first ray of light, She'll yawn and raise her head." - Poor Mamas, we never catch a break. Even in books.
7. 123
One cookie. Two shoes. Three puppies. Four kittens. Five tractors. Six duckings. Seven cupcakes. Eight strawberries. Nine flowers. Ten cuddly toys. The end. (And they charge $6.99 for that book! Ha ha.)
I've read this book six times already while typing this post.
I love it.
I love it when G love will run up to me with a book in hand, turn her back to me, and try to sit on my lap no matter where I am or what sitting and/or standing position I may be in. Girlfriend wants to read her some books. How wonderful! I hope to foster an environment for her growing up that encourages lots and lots of reading. What a great way for her to learn and grow!
(Two hours and seventy four books later, I am now sitting down to finish this post).
The end.
What? That's all I had left in my after four straight hours of counting to ten.
P.S. Thank you for your bedding advice! Truly, it inspired me. I'm working on it as we speak... I think what I'll do is find some lovely shams, remove the duvet cover, add an extra fleece blanket for warmth, and soften it up with some new throw pillows and a re-purposed throw blanket... stay tuned!
