A tad touchy.

I swear, I'm not really this emotional.

But because our wee little family is facing such an unforeseeable future with Stuart graduating college in six months, needless to say, I've maybe been...a tad touchy.

Just a tad.

As I was driving to work yesterday, emotional & freezing, I was so grateful to have the Lord as my companion.  I felt overwhelmingly blessed to have a sovereign God who created me, loves me, knows me, and cares for me.

How does anyone survive without the assurance that comes from faith in an all-knowing God.  A God who not only strengthens and trains his children through difficult challenges, but also comforts them along the way.  A God who not only uses his children for His purpose and plan, but also grants them great strength and perseverance to get through it.

As we face this uncertain time in our lives "Where will we go?  What will we do?" we find ourselves completed dependent on the Lord's will in our lives.  We are being stretched in our faith and built up for God's purpose.  Which reminds me of a wonderful Psalm...

Psalm 111

Praise the Lord!

I will give thanks to the Lord

with my whole heart,

in the company of the upright, in

the congregation.

Great are the works of the Lord,

studied by all who delight in them.

Full of splendor and majesty is his

work,

and his righteousness endures forever.

He has caused his wondrous works

to be remembered;

the Lord is gracious and

merciful.

He provides food for those who fear him;

he remembers his covenant forever.

He has shown his people the power

of his works,

in giving them the inheritance of

the nations.

The works of his hands are faithful and just;

all his precepts are trust worthy;

they are established forever and ever,

to be performed with faithfulness

and uprightness.

He sent redemption to his people;

he has commanded his covenant

forever.

Holy and awesome is his name!

The fear of the Lord is the

beginning of wisdom;

all those who practice it have a

good understanding.

His praise endures forever!

I got the joy, joy, joy, joy down in my heart.  Where?  Down in my heart.  Where?  Down in my heart.  I got the joy, joy, joy, joy down in my heart...down in my heart to stay!  And I'm so happy, so very happy, to have the love of Jesus in my heart (down in my heart), and I'm so happy, so very happy, to have the love of Jesus in my heart!

Sorry.  That Sunday school song just came out of nowhere...

Are you facing an uncertain future as well?  Or scary obstacles?  Or a mighty big challenge?

Let's find comfort in the Lord's companionship and goodness together!  Things like this are so much more fun with friends.

And Happy Friday!
